Marilyn Beatty Massage Therapy

 

Marilyn Beatty is originally from a small community up north called Deschambault Lake (Kimoshom Pwatinahk). She is of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation band which is part of the Treaty Six territory, she speaks the Cree TH dialect. Marilyn has been a registered massage therapist within the city of Saskatoon for 8 years and has been in business for over 4 years.

Marilyn completed her 2200 hour remedial massage therapy diploma here in Saskatoon at McKay Career Training in June of 2015, she has been registered with the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan since September of 2015. She also became certified in Prenatal and Maternity Massage through Axiom Career College in August of 2017, and became fully certified in a new soft tissue technique called Rapid-Neurofascial Reset in May of 2018.

Inside her treatment space she offers Traditional Swedish Massage Techniques, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Prenatal/Maternity Massage and Rapid-Neurofascial Reset in a safe and comfortable environment. Marilyn is a friendly and knowledgeable and truly cares about all aspects of your treatment.

She will customize each treatment to meet your specific needs as she believes each person has their own unique body mechanics, (body mechanics is how you hold your body at work, how you walk and what past/current injuries that you may have had that might be contributing to your current issues.)

She mainly specializes in treating people who deal with Headaches/Migraines and TMJ-D (pain in the jaw or locked jaw) as she used to suffer from TMJ-D herself so she has a personal understanding of your pain and discomfort. And as part of her work with you, she can provide you with knowledge of self-administered pain management techniques such as stretching, foam rolling and the use of heat or cold or hydrotherapy, which will help you get the most out of each treatment.
